Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Tatara.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Northern Virginia and lived there for the beginning of my time before I moved to Puerto Rico. Throughout my life, I was always surrounded by friends and family. I explored my physical potential and skills in group sports and met many people who helped me along the way.
While in college, I stumbled upon meditation and art. From the minute I started my self-practice and had a group that was different than just family, I started to open my creative ideas to another level.
After graduating college, I went straight into a 9-5 job and very soon realized that there was more to life. Through exploring my inner self, my creative potential awakened and inspiration flowed. This just happened without asking for it. It put me on a journey to a deeper understanding of life to realize that I am not just my mind or body.
It helped me realize that art is everything and to create is a huge part of being human. After moving to Puerto Rico, I experienced culture in a different way and met a lot of fascinating people that aided, helped, and supported my art and spiritual practice. Creating allows me to reflect on my life and visualize my future in a constructive way.
While finding ways to stay technologically active and adaptable, I create and sell my own art and book creations.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The word challenge itself is the biggest challenge. What I realized through meditation is that things just appeared to me and situations just happened in life.
By practicing yoga and internal arts, you can discipline you mind and body to stay focused and handle life situations. What is just as important is the mental and physical restoration after any strenuous circumstance.
I would say that the word “challenge” does not exist in a negative way. It is more of an opportunity and a dream. Life is a learning lesson. Each moment is a blessing.
Shifting perspective is key in adapting to change.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am a creative influencer and artist. I create many things. My passion is painting, internal martial arts, and writing poetry (mainly haiku). I use my art as an internal energy art to aid people in whatever they are going through in life. The paintings aid in enhancing creativity and reflection.
The poetry aids in expression and confidence. The martial arts is the physical aspect and my own system of internal arts and acupressure to help people with stress, aches, and pains while they move through life. Through my work, I teach people to experience their inner selves to the highest potential of what sometimes people think they cannot reach or say they block themselves.
I am all about creativity and helping people understand purpose in life. My work helps unlock and enhance the true creative energy that is within each person.
Each person is a like a gem: unique and beautiful. In my field of work, there is no real competition because everyone has something they can express and share as long as it is in honesty and self-practice. We can all learn from one another and there is enough room on Earth for creators and artists of all kinds. Every person I meet is a teacher of life and I never stop learning.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
I want to thank each person that has been in my life and the universe for existing to lead me on this journey of life.
One key to success I want to share is to understand that you were born in this world and you have experiences and memories from family, friends, and up bringing. Your job is to find your inner self without feeling fear, shame, judgement, hatred, anger, resentment, etc. This may take you on many journeys in life. Another key is to have a clear goal in life and move toward it with the aid of people that support you. Another key is to spend time with people that understand your passions and help you discover more of yourself.
A tool I use is the book Think and Grow Rich to change the mindset. Another tool I use each moment is Ho’oponopono.
I am a Ho’oponopono practitioner through Joe Vitale and this helps me tremendously open my mind and heart to express even more. There are many tools and teachers out there in this world and you are one of them too. Everyone is a teacher and a student of life. Finding your own voice through creative expression is a corner stone of my art practice.
Another key is to never stop learning and always give. Being thankful and expressing gratitude will help you unlock desires, passions, and purpose in your life.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success is a relative concept that is defined in many ways. It can be about living each day to the fullest, being able to give and share, and spending time and thoughts productively.
Success is bringing forth your inner potential to allow yourself to experience bliss and understanding in this lifetime.
Success for me comes through being able to express myself and being healthy, strong, and vibrant in mind, body, and spirit.
Some people think having a lot of money or a lot of possessions is success, but the true success appears when you can reflect on how you feel about yourself right now and how you live moment to moment.
To me, success is also being better each day for yourself, being humble, being able to share and give thanks, and helping others.
What’s next for you?
I am writing more books, creating more healing artwork, and opening galleries all over the world. I am going to expand in my martial arts, internal arts, and acupressure to teach people that many things are possible along with medical care.
My job is to take life second by second and allow the universe to guide me and share love.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.
